Nautical & Coastal Interiors @Riverbar

For those that have been following this blog since 2014 you may recall one of my first posts on the styling of this fabulous bar/restaurant on the river in Brisbane. As soon as you walk into the place you are drawn into a 'Coastal Vintage' heaven. It is like my warehouse without the bar and seats, and is entirely decorated with the most amazing coastal vintage finds. They include all those magical old things that takes one to being back on the sea.
And you will find many similar items available on our website.

Scroll down and you will see why this place in my eyes is a slice of 'Coastal Vintage' heaven...

The hanging ferns and the huge chunky sisal rope draped around the centre lighting of the bar/restaurant immediately captured my attention.
This beautiful corner is all things coastal vintage! An old craypot used as a light shade, old wooden hand reels on the wall, the brass ship's wheel, Queensland soda drinks crate and a box of old maritime signal flags.
The walls and many shelves are adorned with all things to do with the sea. Glass floats, old bottles, vintage fishing reels & rods, vintage books, old photographs of yachts. And all the way through it is lit up with bulkhead style ship lights.
The vintage portholes have been made in mirrors & we have similar styles available in many shapes and sizes.
The back wall is my favourite. Filled with so many nautical & coastal vintage finds.
This place has embraced many coastal & seafaring materials for a fabulous take on a classic maritime-inspired style and filled with unique vintage pieces that would also look fantastic in the home.

until next time,

lover of the sea and all things coastal vintage
